Constantly scared and running away from scary♥♥♥♥♥shit. This the most ♥♥♥♥ed up game I've played that's for sure.. The most excellent horror game ever created. It has excellent horror moments and excellent adventure game-style moments and the intensity does not ruin the adventure game aspects. The story is interesting with tons of documents to read throughout the game if you choose to do so. It is not too long and not too short. I would probably wait for a sale but if you have the time to immerse yourself in this game then it is a great purchase.. Scaring the♥♥♥♥♥♥out of me. Outlast was released in 2013 and up until this point a lot of great horrors have been published, however, I have to conclude that for a game of this age, it truly was one hell of a terrifying experience. The game starts with an email received from a whistle-blower and you as an investigative journalist travel to Mount Massive Asylum / Prison to uncover the truth behind Murkoff and their so-called charitable organisation. Equipped with only a video camera as your source of obtaining evidence, and the night vision of the camera, you venture into the what looks like a building in decay to uncover the truth. The game is full of disturbing images, including gore and scenes that could trouble the mind, however, it does add to the element and fun of the game. The story is incredibly intriguing and adds a lot of dread, as things unexpected occur regularly that could involve playing hide and seek, or running for your life as the player has access to no weapons. The game isn't perfect though and it should be kept in mind that it's a couple of years old.It truly was a magnificent experience playing this horror game and the DLC Whistleblower, is a high recommendation in order to gain more insight on the backstory of the original Outlast. If you're a fan of horror and don't mind having plenty of scares, and a possible sleepless night, I would highly recommended grabbing a copy of this game from Steam.I'll be sure to delve into Outlast 2 as well and see what other horrors await.. I first bought this game on my Xbox One. On there, I logged over 50 hours into the game. The game is one of the best horror games out there. What I found the most fun and what took up most of my time was mastering the game to complete it on Insane difficulty. Nothing beats the feeling of finishing the game on Insane mode without ever reloading the batteries in the camera. Overall, an amazing game that I highly recommend to everyone!. i completed the pirated version of this game and thought i should buy it and play again cuz it was fun. i regret it, i dont know how i completed this game. its a lot scary now or maybe i turned into a wuss. i cat play this game anymore, i also bought outlast 2 lol and now i cant even play that game too.great game tho. Best story in horror class. Naked Psycho'sTop Notch Story ProgressionFantastic Atmosphere Broken Speedrunning Accessibility10/10 would be Chris Walker's Little Pig again!. I bought this five years ago and only played it now because I learned how to not be a wuss. This game is scary as balls. You play as a reporter dude who carries no weapons and accidentally traps himself in an insane asylum. His goal is to get the hell out. When dudes start chasing, he uses his parkour skills to escape. The horror is really atmospheric, because you never know when you're going to be chased by something or something is gonna pop up and ♥♥♥♥ you up. Some levels are pitch black and you got to use your night vision cam, but you got to conserve your batteries because they run out.The game is really linear, save points are handed out like candy, and level design is such that it's hard to get lost if you know what you're doing. You might be thinking "That'd not real horror!" But I say "♥♥♥♥ you and play the game. Tell me it's not horror then."10/10 would not play again because I finished it once and I do not need that stress in my life. I will play the dlc and sequel though.. scary 10/10
